Ellis Kaut, *Master Eder and His Pumuckl*, for children ages 5 and up
“Hurrah, hurrah, the red-haired goblin! Hurrah, hurrah, Pumuckl is here!” Who doesn’t know this song? The stories of Master Carpenter Eder and his little red-haired goblin Pumuckl have been delighting young and old alike for decades.
It all began in 1962 with a children’s radio drama series produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk. This was followed by records, books, TV series, feature films, stage plays, and musical adaptations. And now the cheeky goblin, with his love of rhymes, is taking our theaters by storm!
Master Eder is quite astonished when, one day, a real-life goblin finds himself stuck to the glue pot in his workshop. His name is Pumuckl, and he’s actually invisible to humans—except to the person he happens to stick to. Since Pumuckl loves to lead people by the nose, hide things, and play pranks, he soon causes quite a commotion.
Look forward to an imaginative theatrical adventure for the whole family! The lead roles are played by Christian Werner as Master Eder and Ines Isabell Braun as Pumuckl, who most recently shone as Räuber Hotzenplotz and Kasperl.
The production is directed by Marion Schneider-Bast, who has thrilled young audiences with her work in Tübingen, Reutlingen, and Trier, among other places.
