Moonkid - The Last German Rock Star
Moonkid is currently one of the most exciting newcomers in the German-speaking world. With his mix of modern German rock, catchy pop melodies, and emo influences, he strikes a chord with a generation that grew up listening to Lil Peep and XXXTentacion just as much as Tokio Hotel or Die Ärzte.
His debut album, “GESCHICHTEN VOM MOND,” is set to be released on September 11. His first solo tour in March 2026 had already sold out completely. This was followed by support shows for Swiss & Die Andern and Lostboi Lino, his first festival season, and collaborative tracks with Edo Saiya and Swiss & Die Andern. At the same time, his social media content reaches millions of people every month.
The title “Der letzte deutsche Rockstar” is a nod to the phrase “Deutschrock ist zurück” (“German rock is back”), which went viral in connection with his song “BORDSTEIN.” What was originally meant as a tongue-in-cheek reference now describes quite accurately what Moonkid stands for. He brings the energy and attitude of classic German rock into the present—for generations who no longer define rock by leather jackets, but by taking a stand, being loud, and screaming out their feelings unfiltered.
