Ever since the two founders of Salon Hip Hop joined forces in the mid-1990s, they have consistently delighted audiences with a steady stream of new programs.
In the meantime, they have built up a virtually immeasurable repertoire of chansons that other artists** also enjoy drawing from. Their songbook on the Internet is open to everyone.
With their “Introduction for Beginners,” Pigor & Eichhorn have offered those viewers** who weren’t around in the ’90s a gateway into the world of Salon Hip Hop. Now they’re revisiting the chansons from recent years.
Basic Course II: Chansons that are still—or once again—relevant, such as “Counting Beards in Mitte” or “The Grumbling Retirees.” The expiration of Bertolt Brecht’s copyrights on January 1, 2027, will be a topic, as will “Raven Mothers,” and, of course, brand-new songs from 2026 will also be featured.
Whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned Pigor & Eichhorn listener, Basic Course II promises an evening of high-quality musical cabaret that’s right on the cutting edge.
