The "Rainer von Vielen - Acoustic Duo Show" is something special: the groove faction of the band stays at home: Rainer and guitarist Mitsch Oko play the RvV classics and Brecht settings as a duo - with plenty of emotion and two-part vocals. At the heart of the show are songs from the new play about the band and the friendship between the two musicians called "Räuberleiter" and songs from the new album "Bergen".
The musicians adapt the subtleties of their own songs and transform the band's complete works into singer-songwriter versions. Thus, a punk hit becomes a poetic ballad or a stadium rock number becomes a country homage. By dispensing with computers, electric guitars and drums, the usual structure of the songs is dissolved, while at the same time remaining recognizable.
At the center of the concert, however, are the lyrics on a continuum between Brechtian revolutionary lyrics and pop-relevant stadium anthems. The "Rainer von Vielen" duo show is a deliberate counterpoint to the band's electronically interwoven program - a reduction to the essentials: Melody, sound and words.
