Look, Honey, the Moon Is Getting Bigger, Too (3.0)
In his new show, David Leukert takes a look at the husband in his new role as a non-binary macho man and talks about wives and other guardians.
The cabaret artist portrays the 21st-century man as a victim of toxic femininity, whose dietary habits (fat, protein, fat) are intrusively called into question.
Formerly a member of the Nature Friends Youth, now a Mercedes AMG driver, the Berliner also offers a very personal account of his evolution from a radical softie to a moderate angry citizen.
Leukert’s statements are notoriously provocative, yet in most cases not actionable in court. What’s more: As a mindfulness officer in the fields of cabaret, comedy, and music, he aims to build bridges to counteract further societal division. After all, you don’t have to agree to understand one another!
The stage performer and author has appeared as a guest on numerous public broadcasting programs such as WDR’s “Kabarettfest,” BR’s “Schlachthof,” and SWR’s “Freunde in der Mäulesmühle,” and regularly shines as the headliner at the Quatsch Comedy Club.
“Leukert is an avowed ‘men’s rights activist,’ yet he displays so much wit and self-deprecating humor that both male and female audience members can enjoy the show equally.” Kölnische Rundschau
