In Roland Schimmelpfennig's new play, a family celebration becomes a scene of friction, constraints, lust and unconscious destructive moods. The power of the family and old roles that people fall back into, long since grown up, flash up sometimes comically, sometimes menacingly, until the bourgeois façade of the familiar home begins to crumble eerily.
