Teatro Delusio

The Flöz Family: Teatro Delusio
TEATRO DELUSIO is theater within theater.

TEATRO DELUSIO plays with the countless facets of the theatrical world: Between the stage and backstage, between illusion and disillusionment, a magical space full of touching humanity emerges. While the front becomes the back and the back becomes the front, and while on the stage—which can only be imagined—all theatrical genres are presented, from opulent opera and wild sword fights to cold-blooded intrigue and passionate love scenes, the stagehands Bob, Bernd, and Ivan eke out their existence backstage. Three tireless helpers, separated from the radiant stars of the stage by nothing more than a sparse set, yet light-years away as they struggle for their happiness: The sensitive and sickly Bernd seeks fulfillment in literature, but suddenly finds it in the form of the late-blooming ballerina. Bob’s longing for recognition drives him toward triumph and destruction. Ivan, head of the backstage crew, doesn’t want to lose control of the theater, but in doing so loses everything else... Their lives in the shadow of the spotlights keep intertwining in wondrous ways with the glittering world of illusion. Suddenly, they themselves are standing on the famous boards that mean the world to them.
