Hamburg, June 17, 2026. Fans have something to look forward to: One of Ireland’s most successful
indie rock bands, THE CORONAS, will return to Germany next April
after a two-year hiatus. The award-winning
band from Dublin will perform concerts between April 28 and May 7 in
Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, and Dortmund
. Advance ticket sales begin today, June 17, 2026, at 12 p.m. at
Eventim.de and all major ticket outlets.
In an ever-changing music landscape, consistency is one of the greatest
measures of success—and that’s exactly what THE CORONAS stand for. For over two decades,
the band has been thrilling audiences with its unmistakable mix of alternative rock and
catchy pop melodies. With anthemic choruses, grand arrangements, and
emotional depth, they are often compared to Coldplay. Early hits like
“San Diego Song,” “Heroes or Ghosts,” and “Addicted to Progress” still
give audiences goosebumps at their concerts and have long since achieved cult status.
But THE CORONAS aren’t resting on their past successes. Rather,
they’ve managed to continuously evolve their sound while simultaneously
expanding their loyal fan base. Their last four studio albums have each
reached No. 1 on the Irish charts. The band’s popularity is also growing steadily
internationally: sold-out tours in the U.S., Canada, and Australia
underscore their success far beyond Ireland’s borders.
Their Germany tour in the spring of 2025 was already celebrated by audiences and the band
alike. “Our last Germany tour was an incredible amount of fun,”
recalls frontman Danny O’Reilly. “There was so much energy. It’s
exciting to see the audience grow—just like it did back in Ireland.”
To coincide with the tour, fans can look forward to new music: THE CORONAS
recently completed work on their new studio album.
It was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Peter Katis, who has previously
worked with artists such as The National and Interpol. The release is scheduled for
January 2027, making the German tour the perfect setting to
present the new songs live to German audiences for the first time
