The Harlem Gospel Singers

Location:
Liederhalle Hegelsaal, Berliner Platz 1-3, 70174 STUTTGART

The Harlem Gospel Singers

THE HARLEM GOSPEL SINGERS are embarking on a major tour of Germany and Switzerland! With plenty of groove, they spread the “Good News,” hope, and joy of life, and strengthen the sense of community! Experience great songs like “Amazing Grace,” “You’ve Got A Friend,” “When The Saints Go Marching In,” “Oh Happy Day,” and even Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song” in special gospel arrangements—performed by a six-piece all-star band and eight outstanding American gospel artists.

A milestone in American musical culture

THE HARLEM GOSPEL SINGERS demonstrate the fundamental importance of gospel to American musical culture. From their origins in the 18th century to the present day, spirituals and gospel have influenced virtually every form of popular music: blues, soul, R&B, jazz, rock, and even hip-hop and country. At the same time, these various styles have found their way into gospel music.   With their unmistakable sound, this spectacular gospel phenomenon has taken the major cities of America and Europe by storm. To date, more than 2.5 million people have enthusiastically celebrated the annually reimagined, R&B-, jazz-, and pop-inspired shows of the world’s most prominent gospel group.
