Thundermother - Mothers of Thunder Tour 2027

Swedish hard rock queens THUNDERMOTHER are back with their Napalm Records studio debut, *Mothers of Thunder*, out on February 5, 2027. Their seventh album once again proves that the genre’s leading ladies can do everything men can—and maybe even better. Their rock ’n’ roll vibe is marked by gritty riffs and sassy lyrics, with a powerful delivery that’s perfect for high-energy live shows. THUNDERMOTHER have already proven their excellence in this area: after opening for the legendary Scorpions and Judas Priest, playing at iconic festivals like Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, and Sweden Rock, and releasing their first live album, *Live’n’Alive*, in 2026, the four-piece is ready for a new era. *Mothers of Thunder* is high-energy encouragement for women as well as thrilling, head-bobbing fun for everyone else.

The somewhat self-titled opening track, “Mothers of Thunder,” is an ode to all women as well as an invitation to join THUNDERMOTHER on their journey. Calling out to mothers, daughters, and sisters—as well as girlfriends and wives—the Swedish band is paving the way with this fast-paced track for those to whom the future belongs. “Restless” is another manifesto of empowerment: Singer Linnéa Vikström Egg teams up with her father, THERION’s Thomas Vikström, for a father-daughter argument turned song—a parent’s concerns on one side, a child’s longing for freedom on the other; this song is as authentic as it gets, with real family members delivering the vocals. Next, “Time Is Never Wasted (When You’re Wasted All The Time)” gives Mothers of Thunder an instant rock classic, best played in clubs, pubs, or on the road, while “Front Row Bangers” takes us right back to those very live shows. This sing-along anthem is dedicated to their most devoted fans and the love they pour into the musicians on stage: “We do the show, but you’re the stars” lovingly underscores the importance of their support. The mid-tempo, blues-infused hard rock track “The Wet Blues,” which deals with a certain lust and loneliness, continues THUNDERMOTHER’strack record of delivering highly infectious bangers with strong vocal performances, followed by “Stalker,” which hits extra hard. Featuring Wild West vibes, this eerily calm song explores the harsh reality of being a woman—from the perpetrator’s perspective. “Bimbo Boost” sees the quartet return to their genre’s roots, only to turn them on their head: By playing the epic riff from Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water” in reverse, THUNDERMOTHER address the pressure on female artists to always look perfect when they go on stage—an expectation that male musicians are spared. “Get Up” is another anthem of self-empowerment for women, while “Perfectly Miserable” is the slower song (not a ballad!) that every good rock album needs. The question “Do I Need A Doctor” is easily answered with a song this infectious, and the raw “Dirty Word” follows in its footsteps. Closing out the album, “Shake Your Money Maker” adds a certain feel-good summer vibe to *Mothers of Thunder*.

With their seventh album, THUNDERMOTHER take a step toward becoming nothing less than rock goddesses. Mothers of Thunder is their moment to shine, effortlessly putting their genre peers in their place. The future belongs to THUNDERMOTHER!
