Timur Turga
- Location:
- Rosenau - Lokalität & Bühne, Rotebühlstraße 109 b, 70178 Stuttgart
For several years now, Timur has been seeing the world through different eyes. Nearly blind and armed with a white cane, he humorously recounts his everyday encounters. He often finds himself led down the wrong path by “helpful” people or ends up in the wrong restroom. What his eyes can no longer perceive, his imagination replaces with images in his head, which he describes on stage, using them to embellish his anecdotes.
Timur captivates every audience member as he recounts, in an impressive and humorous way, what has changed in his life since his eye condition: Actually, nothing at all—except jogging.
With plenty of irony, he talks about everyday life: he modifies his annoying alarm clock, saves pandas from extinction, and talks about his former job as a childcare worker.
Timur Turga shares his perspective with the audience in a truly charming way, opening everyone’s eyes in the process. With warmth and confidence, he explains how it’s possible to lose most of one’s eyesight without losing one’s sense of humor.
