Frida, accompanied by death all her life, experienced her life in all its intensity: whether moments flooded with sunshine or those moments that seemed as dark as the darkest night. Her story has fascinated the whole world and continues to do so today. Through movement and artistic performance, Enrique Gasa Valga makes Frida's indomitable spirit, her passion, her intensity and her pain visible. For his dance theater, Valga was awarded the Austrian music theater prize, the Golden Schikaneder, for the best ballet production of the 2011/12 season.
