The Waseda Symphony Orchestra meets the taiko ensemble Eitetsu Fu-un no Kai and the legendary percussionist Eitetsu Hayashi - a fascinating combination of Western symphonic music and Japanese percussion art. Dvořák's symphonic poem "Heldenlied" op. 111 is followed by the European premiere of Moritz Jost's "Seven Samurai", before Holst's "Die Planeten" takes the evening into spherical expanses of sound. An extraordinary concert between myth, rhythm and cosmos.
