Christmas Concert - Oratorio Choir
For the 2026 Christmas Concert, the Stuttgart Oratorio Choir will perform one of the great Romantic oratorios: Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s ELIAS, Op. 70, “
.” With dramatic choral scenes, heartfelt arias, and ensembles, Mendelssohn tells the story of the Old Testament prophet—a tale of faith and doubt, hope and divine comfort—making this a work that fits perfectly into the Advent season.
The Stuttgart Oratorio Choir and the Stuttgart Concertino will perform under the direction of Enrico Trummer.
The soloists are Xenia von Randow (soprano), Jasmin Hofmann (alto), Oskar Bjartmarsson (tenor), and Jonathan Macker (bass).
An evening of choral music to set the mood for the third Sunday of Advent.
