Carlotta Armbruster Trio - creative and communicative

Carlotta's compositions form the starting point for music-making that relies above all on the inspiration and creativity of the musicians. In a communicative process of acting and reacting, highly exciting tonal and rhythmic structures are created that go beyond convention. Bass and drums emancipate themselves from traditional roles and become equal partners in the development of the compositional material and joint improvisations.

Between composition, improvisation and interaction, the trio around trombonist Carlotta Armbruster, bassist Nico Klöffer and drummer Jakob Görris explore the possibilities of the trio line-up in a new way.

Judith Goldbach - AKROBAT - A Bartók trilogy - energetic and fragile

After her debut "Reisetagebuch" (Travel Diary) with the theme of folk tunes from the Balkans and her second album "Diary of a Fly", on which arrangements of Bartók's original compositions appeared, she has now completed her trilogy with the album "Akrobat".

The avant-garde composer Bartók was fascinated by the traditional music of his Hungarian homeland and the entire Balkan region. Even in his youth, he was fascinated by the raw directness of folk music. And so he undertook extensive musical research trips on which he gathered a wide range of impressions and found inspiration for his compositional work.
Judith Goldbach

With its unusual line-up of vibraphone, electric guitar, percussion and double bass, the quartet freshly and unconventionally combines jazz, folk songs and classical compositions with very fragile, experimental and highly energetic elements to create a very personal style.

Judith Goldbach - bass
Sebastian Böhlen - git
