Romantic timbres in the Liederhalle: the Christophorus Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart invites you to a winter concert with works by Humperdinck, Sibelius and Dvořák.
As a large symphony orchestra with a long history, the Christophorus Symphony Orchestra is firmly anchored in Stuttgart's classical music scene. It has around 90 members and is made up of music fans from all professional groups, pupils, students and full-time musicians. The CSO regularly performs large concert programs twice a year under its conductor Gustav Kollmann in the Beethoven Hall of Stuttgart's Liederhalle.
With works by Humperdinck, Sibelius and Dvořák, the upcoming program will take you on a multifaceted journey through the soundscapes of late Romanticism:
- Engelbert Humperdinck: Hansel and Gretel: Overture and Pantomime
- Jean Sibelius: Violin Concerto in D minor op. 47
- Antonín Dvořák: Symphony No. 8 in G major op. 88
