Komödie im Marquardt, Bolzstr. 4-6, 70173 Stuttgart

Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache *QUITE THE BEST FRIENDS*
A comedy based on the film of the same name
Adapted for the stage by René Heinersdorff

A play about an extraordinary friendship—perfect for the holidays and the whole family.

Based on a true story, the film was released in 2011 and named the most successful comedy of the year in France. The film was also a hit in Germany. In 2012, with nearly 9 million viewers, it became the year’s top-grossing film—even ahead of “James Bond”—and remained in the box office charts for weeks. A life-affirming comedy with depth, a heartwarming story about friendship.

Philippe, a wealthy man who became paraplegic after a sports accident, hires the young Driss as his caregiver. Driss comes from a difficult background. But with his energy and zest for life, he turns Philippe’s life upside down and gives him new courage to face life. Philippe, in turn, introduces Driss to the beauty of art and classical music. Gradually, a special bond develops between the two.

A heartwarming Christmas story about overcoming barriers and the power of friendship.

Directed by Robin Telfer, who—following *We Are No Angels*, *Three Men in the Snow*, *Arsenic and Old Lace*, and *Barefoot in the Park*—will once again enrich the Christmas season with enchanting theater.
