"STUTTGART Steps" Tour (STÄFFELE Tour North) – Up and down thousands of steps
Owing to Stuttgart's geographic location in a valley basin, it has more flights of steps – known to the locals as "Stäffele" – than most other towns.
Idyllic paths and beautiful scenic lookouts guarantee so much variety on this original circular walk with no shortage of steps so you won't get bored, even after the 100th flight...
North Steps Tour: Beginning with a short walk through the new European quarter, the tour then takes you up flights of steps to the exotic Chinese "Garden of the beautiful melody" who’s beautiful view of the city will leave you enchanted. The tour goes further through the mountains, where there is a lot to discover on the way towards the Bismarck tower. Once we go through the Feuerbacher Heide residential area, the Bismarck tower is reached, whose view compensates all the effort put into the climb. On the way down toward the tram stop Killesberg, the route passes through the house where the industrialist families Porsche and Moser once lived in.
Please note: comfortable shoes and physical fitness are a must for this tour. Wheelchair users and parents with children in strollers are requested to choose one of our other interesting tours instead.
