Weingut Schwarz
ONE FOR ALL - ALL FOR THE WINE!
The winemaking tradition has been a common thread running through the Schwarz family for over 300 years and is continued by Markus Schwarz together with his son Ludwig and daughter Stefanie.
The winery, which cultivates almost 12 hectares, is located in the Stuttgart district of Untertürkheim. The vineyards are located in Untertürkheim, Rotenberg, Bad Cannstatt and Wangen.
In the red wine sector, the focus is on Lemberger as the flagship, followed by Pinot Noir, Merlot and Trollinger. Among the white grape varieties, Riesling plays a major role, as do Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Silvaner.
Mash fermentation and the ageing of dry red wines exclusively in barriques or large wooden barrels are characteristic. In the white wine segment, Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay are aged in barriques.
The wines embody a down-to-earth attitude, a sense of home and real character.
The Besenwirtschaft, which has been in operation since 1967, is open in the fall and winter months and invites guests to enjoy a convivial get-together. Events are also held at the winery and in the vineyards in Untertürkheim, inviting visitors to enjoy the wine and discover the region.
