Here you will find a small oasis of leisure and meditation. With a size of only around 250 m², the effect of both the small and the large in this garden has been thought through in detail.

The Japanese garden combines a water basin, a pavilion, rocks, trees and shrubs to create a harmonious landscape. The watercourse winds its way from the spring through the garden and serves as a symbol of the course of life: from birth to death. The Japanese ornamental cherries in the entrance area, which are in full bloom in spring, are particularly beautiful.

A pavilion entwined with blue rain invites you to take a break with a view of the garden and Rosenstein Park opposite.

The Japanese home garden was the Kanagawa province's contribution to the National Gardens at the 1993 International Horticultural Exhibition and was subsequently rebuilt on this site in the fall of 1994 by the training company of the then Horticultural Office of the City of Stuttgart. It was inaugurated on November 24, 1994.

The Japanese garden is now maintained by volunteers. The Japanese festival "Hanami" takes place every year during the cherry blossom season. Information on this can be obtained from the Japanese Honorary Consulate in Stuttgart.
