Theater Workshop with Horst Emrich
Horst Emrich’s Theater Workshop
At age 10, I began performing skits at private parties; at 15, I developed my own unique one-man show, “kaba-reh,” a cheeky and frivolous mix of sketches, humor, and cross-dressing. I performed it regularly at the MUH (Munich cabaret theater). At age 26, I completed my acting training at Studio Haller in Heidelberg.
Since 1989, I’ve been working independently as an actor, theater educator, director, and writer, and I lead my “Theater-Impro-Spiele” courses and workshops nationwide.
The goal of my courses and workshops is to boost your self-confidence, help you test your limits, and foster your creativity, playfulness, and zest for life.
Through the basic elements of the performing arts, you’ll get to know yourself better in a playful way.
You’ll act and react with greater sensitivity. I’ll help you hone your stage presence through scene work, improvisation, and solo, partner, and group exercises.
My warm-up is a mix of creative games, relaxation exercises, body awareness, and voice and breathing training.
I’ll respond to suggestions and requests from the group.
Acting always has a therapeutic effect. You’ll explore your emotions, play different roles, and can playfully break free from entrenched behavior patterns.
Want to try something new and get to know yourself better? Let your inner child run free and come on by. I look forward to meeting you and discovering your hidden talents.
