Nature trails, orchards and panoramic views

This circular tour is particularly suitable for families with children. Informative educational boards from NABU provide you with interesting insights into the nature of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park.

On the way into town to Waldenburg, you will pass the cemetery chapel, whose restored interior is well worth a visit. The oldest wall paintings in the chapel date back to around 1400 AD.

After crossing the road, your tour continues along the asphalt path. Here, the wide valley of the Bibers opens up to you with orchards and extensive pastures. The Bibers begins its course at around 488 m near Waldenburg and flows into the Kocher at Rosengarten-Westheim after around 22 kilometers.

Before a sharp left-hand bend, a trail leads steeply to the left up to the panorama trail. In the late afternoon, the sun's rays bathe this lovely valley in a warm light and benches invite you to rest and linger. When there is enough snow in winter, families from the surrounding area come here to go sledging.
