Varied panoramic hike

This scenically varied tour takes you past Lake Neumühlsee and over the Friedrichsberg. You should have some stamina for the ascent.

The route first takes you through the Biberstal valley to the Waldenburg district of Ziegelhütte with its horse farm. Continue along the paddocks on a paved path until you reach the junction that leads into the forest. The route continues on a gravel forest path through the Bibers valley to Neumühlsee lake with its bathing areas, restaurant and barbecue area.

The path leads along the wooded shore and at the end of the forest you can see wide fields and pastures. The route now leads along the stream to the hamlet of Goldbach. The route continues in the direction of Waldenburg, past the former monastery from the 14th century. Only the large residential building is still visible.

The route then climbs steeply through the forest to Friedrichsberg and from there via Ziegelhütte back to Waldenburg.
