The Straußstaffel viewpoint may not be one of Stuttgart's best-known vantage points, but it is well worth the walk! Although it is located in the middle of a landscape of houses, you are usually alone there. So you can enjoy the view of the east of Stuttgart in peace and quiet.
The easiest way to get there is to take bus number 42 and get off at the Straußstaffel stop. As the name suggests, the Straußstaffel begins right at the bus stop, which you can walk up to get to the platform. Another special feature is the neighboring Bosch Villa on the Gänseheide, which was built in an Italian palazzo style.
