Panoramic Trails and Orchard Meadows – Circular Hike Around Wilhelmsglück
The starting point for this varied circular hike is the parking lot at the Wilhelmsglück mine.
Right at the start, the trail crosses the Kochersteg and climbs gently toward the Wilhelmsglück train station—accompanied by the tranquil flow of the river and the first glimpses of the Kocher Valley. The trail continues through Hirschfelden up to the Geigenberg, before the panoramic trail leads through open landscapes and peaceful forest sections.
On the way to Höll and toward Buchhorn, magnificent views of the vast Kocher Valley open up time and again. Meadow paths and dirt roads, passing through orchards with scattered fruit trees and a cherry orchard, ensure a particularly varied nature experience. Via Westheim and along the Kocher River, the route finally leads back to Wilhelmsglück.
A special highlight is the modern Kochersteg with its fish ladder, which offers fascinating insights into the river’s passability for migratory fish species. The Panoramaweg also invites you to take frequent short breaks to enjoy the views.
Sturdy footwear is recommended, as is allowing enough time for breaks and nature observation.
